Thousands Take to the Streets to Protest Feminist Policies

May 14, 2026 – Around the world, growing numbers of citizens are openly protesting against feminist ideology, which is viewed as totalitarian and promoting female supremacism (1). The latest chapter in this unfolding saga took place over the past two weeks in the Spanish-speaking world, as thousands of men and women took to the streets in Mexico, Argentina, and Spain.

Mexico

Three organizations – the National Collective of Women for Equality (2), Children with MaPa (3), and Al3x Flores (4) — organized dozens of marches in cities throughout Mexico on April 24. Participants waved banners declaring, “I am a father, not a criminal” (“Soy padre, no criminal”).

The largest demonstration, held in Mexico City, attracted hundreds of participants, who gathered in front of the country’s High Court (5). All told, demonstrations were held in about 20 cities around the country.

Organizers sought to meet with representatives from the women’s commission to share their grievances of anti-father bias. One participant, Lupita described how her nephew was prevented from seeing his children who became victims of parental alienation, at the hands of their mother (6).

The events garnered extensive media coverage around the country. One newspaper headline stated, “Men demonstrate in Xalapa, Demand the power to see their children, and equality laws between both genders.” (7)

Argentina

In Argentina, similar demonstrations featuring the “I am a father, not a criminal” slogan were held on April 24 in Buenos Aires, Tucuman, Cordoba, Neuquén, Mendoza, and Santa Fe.

One media account about the event in Tucuman noted the four major areas of concern: False allegations, children becoming social orphans, and fulfillment of the law. (8) Another article about the gathering in Santa Fe noted that the demonstration garnered attention by the city Family Court (9).

The demonstrations gave further impetus to the national campaign by Senator Carolina Losada to punish persons who make false accusations of abuse (10).

Spain

On May 8, the National Association to Help Victims of Domestic Violence, known as ANAVID, organized a demonstration in the central Puerta del Sol of Madrid. Over a thousand persons, both men and women, participated.

The attendees chanted an impassioned song about the injustices of existing domestic violence laws. The refrain, in Spanish, was (11): “We are equal, We are allies, We are not rivals.”

A Manifesto was issued that stated, in part, “We are women: daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters. We stand for equality, justice, and mutual respect between women and men. Therefore, contemporary feminism no longer represents us.”

National surveys show public opinion is shifting away from feminist ideology (12). Now, men and women are taking to the streets.

The Domestic Abuse and Violence International Alliance – DAVIA — unites 232 member organizations from 43 countries in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. DAVIA seeks to ensure that domestic violence and abuse policies are science-based, family-affirming, and gender-inclusive. https://endtodv.org/coalitions/davia/
