Like ‘Hell:’ Grandmothers Assail Feminist-Driven Abuse Policies
March 10, 2025 – Across the globe, feminism has become implicated in a series of national scandals and is facing unprecedented levels of criticism:
- At the World Economic Forum, Argentinian president Javier Milei roundly criticized gender ideology, charging that feminism has become a “distortion of the concept of equality.” (1)
- In the United Kingdom, a stunning exposé revealed how UK feminists have been working behind the scenes to oppose a national inquiry into the “grooming gangs” scandal (2).
- In Australia, a $1.3 billion scheme for making fraudulent child sexual abuse claims was recently exposed. The scandal revealed the feminist narrative that “false rape claims hardly ever happen” to be entirely untrue (3).
The public is becoming aware of the difficulties facing men, as well. In the United States, a recent national survey found that 73% of Americans support “special measures” to address the challenges that men face, such as higher rates of suicide and homelessness (4).
And now, grandmothers are lending their voices to the wave of criticism. On March 4, the Congress of Deputies in Spain convened a meeting with the provocative title, “Grandmothers Silenced by Feminism.” (5) The event was organized to publicize the widespread civil rights violations arising from the one-sided Spanish domestic violence law known as LIVG (6).
Beginning the two-hour discussion, Jesús Muñoz, vice president of the National Association for Assistance to Victims of Domestic Violence (ANAVID), recounted the array of anti-family policies promoted by feminist-controlled political groups, comparing the current situation in Spain to that of Germany in 1933. (7)
Four grandmothers then took the stage to share their disillusionment with the feminist-driven domestic violence laws, with each of their presentations meeting with enthusiastic applause (8).
Pilar Hidalgo shared the experience of her son being falsely accused of domestic violence. She recounted how everything that her family had built “disappeared in a second.” “Violence has no gender. Violence is violence whether it comes from a man or a woman,” Hidalgo concluded.
Referring to Spanish feminists as “deranged,” Carmen Albero reported that of the three million domestic violence complaints have been filed since 2004, nearly 80% of the accused were declared to be innocent, according to the General Counsel of Judicial Power (CGPJ). “Hundreds of [male] parents commit suicide because they cannot bear the pressure of being singled out, ruined, and without their children,” Albero revealed to the stunned audience.
Inmaculada Lopez described how her son had been falsely accused of domestic violence so many times, to the point that “We have lost count. He receives notifications of dismissals that we were unaware of.” “We are the victims forgotten and silenced by politicians,” Lopez charged.
Recounting how her daughter-in-law had used “lies and manipulations” against her son, Cristina Belmonte revealed how he was not even allowed to be present during the birth of his child. The experience was like “hell,” Belmonte tearfully revealed.
Concluding the historic assembly, female Deputy Rocío de Meer deplored how the Spanish abuse law “criminalizes 50% of the population.” To resounding applause, the Deputy vowed that “feminism has come up against real women, head on….Real women are going to win.”
