International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Men
Singer-dancer Britney Spears, pictured above, is a repeat domestic abuser.
In 2023, husband Sam Asghari “frequently complained about Britney getting physical with him.” On one occasion, Spears gave him a black eye while he was asleep. She kept numerous knives around the home (above, middle), leaving him fearful that Spears would “fly off the handle.” Another photograph revealed red bite marks on Asghari’s left arm (above, right).
Then in 2025, a similar scenario occurred, as Spears’s ex-husband Kevin Federline claimed her sons woke to find her holding a knife.
The goal of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Men, held on the third Thursday of November, is to raise awareness of the public and policymakers about the epidemic of domestic violence and domestic abuse against men.
2024 Observance

2022 Observance
The 2022 observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Men highlighted the plight of Johnny Depp, who was physically and psychologically abused by Amber Heard. IDEVAM events were held in Argentina, Australia, India, Ireland, Lithuania, Northern Ireland, Peru, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States.
The observance featured an international press conference, editorials, videos, press releases, Twitter campaigns, and more.
