Reform the United Nations
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights upholds the principle of equal rights for men and women: “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, [and] sex.”
UN Women claims to be working for “gender equality and the empowerment of women.” In 2021, DAVIA sent a letter to UN Women requesting that its #16 Days campaign be expanded to include all persons. But UN Women refuses to acknowledge the existence of female abusers or male victims. Worse, UN Women has repeatedly engaged in disinformation, making false claims that:
- Violence against women and girls “remains the most widespread and pervasive human rights violation worldwide.”
- Women are “14 times higher at risk of dying due to climate change.”
- 70% of civilians killed in Gaza are women and children.
DAVIA urges persons to contact the UN Women liaison office in your own country, or contact the UN Women’s main office in New York City:

New York, NY 10017 - Email: media.team@unwomen.org
