Reform UN Women

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights upholds the principle of equal rights for men and women: “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, [and] sex.” Even though UN Women claims to be working for “gender equality,” the agency’s concept of gender equality excludes any consideration of the 12 global disparities that affect men.

For example, DAVIA sent a letter to UN Women requesting that its annual #16 Days campaign be expanded to include both male and female victims. But UN Women refuses to acknowledge even the existence of female abusers or male victims.
