Women Are Now Rejecting Marxist Notions of Gender Equality

September 2, 2025 – Well-educated and unencumbered by family responsibilities, Petronella Wyatt is in every sense a feminist icon. But in a Daily Mail column, the childless Wyatt confessed that feminism “has failed me and my generation” (1).

Wyatt is not alone in her disenchantment. In developed countries, a stunning 43 to 49 million women ages 25-44 are projected to be single and childless by 2030. (2)

But UN Women has become enamored of Marxist notions of “equity,” which is very different from “equal rights and opportunities.” Rather, UN Women believes that men and women should be interchangeable cogs in the gears of society. Women should represent half of all truck drivers, coal miners, corporate executives, and members of parliament.

But most women do not share that goal. Multiple surveys show that around the world, women prioritize family and relationships over career advancement (3):

In the United States, 76% of married mothers would prefer to work either part-time or not at all (4).
In the European Union, 28% of employed women ages 15-64 work part-time, compared to only 8% of men (5).

So when United Nations leaders recently learned that men still outnumber women by more than three times in executive and legislative positions, all pretense of civility disappeared.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres resorted to uttering Marxist clichés, denouncing men for spreading the “poison of patriarchy.” “The masters of misogyny are gaining strength,” Guterres angrily charged (6).

Guterres did not adduce any evidence to support his alleged wave of “misogyny.” Guterres apparently was unaware of analyses that reveal anti-male misandry is far more widespread than anti-female misogyny (7).

Picking up where Guterres left off, UN Women head Sima Bahous resorted to inflammatory accusations. “We cannot accept a world where half the population is systematically excluded from decision-making,” she declared.

Bahous then endorsed the use of election quotas that reserve seats for female candidates – a strategy that is being implemented by the UN Gender Quota Portal (8). Bahous apparently is unaware that open and free elections are regarded as a linchpin of democratic societies,

Now, increasing numbers of women now view feminism as antithetical to their life goals:

The Facebook page, Women Against Feminism, now sports over 10 thousand members (9)
In Spain, a group known as Grandmothers Silenced by Feminism held a conference at the Congress of Deputies (10).
Evie Magazine features regular articles that challenge feminist stereotypes and highlight the contributions of men to society (11).

Every society that has implemented Marxist ideology has seen its aspirations for social equality transformed into a societal disaster (12). The same fate is now looming in countries that have embraced feminist ideology.
