British Politicians Resort to Scapegoating, Ignore the Real Cause of ‘Grooming Gangs’

January 5, 2026 – For years, Britain has been wracked by reports of “grooming gangs” that sexually exploit teenage girls. Sadly, political leaders have refused to confront the true cause of problem, dishonestly resorting to scapegoating of a variety of groups.

Beginning in the 1960s, British feminists such as Germaine Greer began to insist that marriage and motherhood forced women into a cycle of lifetime dependency. And passage of the Abortion Act in 1967 pushed the country into a fertility free-fall:

  • 1960: The UK fertility rate was a robust 2.7 children per woman (1).
  • 1973: The fertility rate fell below the critical 2.1 per woman replacement rate.
  • 2024: The rate continued to plummet, reaching the disastrous 1.4 level.

As a result, severe labor shortages began to appear in the agriculture, construction, and textile sectors. But rather than sounding the alarm for women to have more children – a move that would inflame the ire of the powerful feminist lobby — politicians turned to mass immigration to fill the employment short-fall.

Beginning in the early 1990s, the number of immigrants to England began to grow steadily, with 600,000–700,000 new arrivals in some years (2). Many of these persons came from Pakistan, a country that condoned sexual liaisons between adult men and teenage girls.

In 2002, MP Ann Cryer broke the silence, speaking out about young teenage girls who were being plied with drugs and alcohol, and sexually exploited by groups of Pakistani men – a deplorable practice that came to be known as “grooming gangs.” (3)

But high-level politicians refused to mount a nationwide inquiry (4), knowing such an effort would raise the lingering question of falling birth rates – a move the feminist establishment strongly opposed.

These politicians instead resorted to the time-honored practice of scapegoating. First, Ann Cryer and others were denigrated as “racists.” Then the victimized girls were chastised as “white trash.” Conservative groups then were accused of “far-right thuggery.”

And now, young British boys are being accused of “misogyny.”

So on December 19, the British government announced that English schoolboys will begin to receive “misogyny training.” (5)

But anti-male misandry is more widespread than anti-female misogyny:

  • A survey by the Youth Endowment Fund reported that 57% of UK boys in a relationship had experienced at least one violent or controlling behavior by their partner, compared to only 41% of girls (6).
  • A 2021 Pew Research poll found that 43% of American men, compared to only 38% of women, reported being harassed online (7).

Laying the blame on the shoulders of innocent schoolboys has stirred opposition from a number of media outlets such as GB News (8), the Daily Mail (9), and other channels (10).

If government leaders allow the misguided “misogyny training” to go forward and ignore the root-cause problem of mass immigration, Islamic customs and culture will become ascendant. And the belief that England represents the cradle of an enlightened civilization will soon wither away.
