Women Are More Irrational Than Men, Research Shows

October 26, 2026 – Julia Goldberg, a 32-year-old nurse in Stuttgart, Germany, recently commented on the immigrant-fueled rape epidemic that plagues many European countries. But she brought a very different perspective. Goldberg wrote:

“White people really are indebted to Black and Brown people for all of the richness they provide to our culture. Besides, a few rapes here and there are hardly fair reparations for all of the horrors white people have inflicted on Black and Brown people throughout history.” (1)

Needless to say, Goldberg’s bizarre remarks drew dozens of negative responses from horrified readers.

Recent incidents, such as Goldberg’s fairy-tale comments, reveal the fact that men generally are more rational than women. Over 100 studies have examined this question. The most comprehensive summary, “Sex Differences in Cognitive Reflection,” reviewed 77 studies with over 66,000 subjects. (2) The analysis found men score moderately higher than women on “cognitive reflection.”

Following are examples from four countries of women who made irrational, non-sensical claims:

Australia — Sex Discrimination: The head of the Sex Discrimination Commission in Australia is Dr. Anna Cody. She has repeatedly refused to define “man” or woman,” insisting that she is “not a medical expert.” When questioned by Sen. Malcolm Roberts, Cody struggled to give straight answers about chromosomes, sex, and the law. (3)

England — Misogyny and Misandry: Bridget Phillipson, Minister for Women and Equalities, is chairing a task force to counter “misogyny” in England. Phillipson recently asserted, “Misogyny and racism [are] being normalised on our streets and on our screens – a politics of division and fear, of hatred and contempt.” (4)

But a recent Merlin Strategy poll found the opposite — the real problem is misandry, not misogyny. Among persons under 30 years, 21% of women have a negative view of men, while only 7% of men have a negative view of women. (5)

Spain — Vicarious Violence: Minister of Equality Ana Redondo is an avid supporter of the theory of “vicarious violence,” which she describes as “causing pain or suffering to the woman [but not the man] through instrumental or intermediary persons.” (6)

But three studies have found higher percentages of Spanish women, compared to men, are the perpetrators of partner abuse (7):

  1. Does Cost-Benefit Analysis or Self-Control Predict Involvement in Two Forms of Aggression? Men: 21.6%; Women: 28.6%
  2. Physical and Psychological Aggression in Dating Relationships of Spanish Adolescents: Motives and Consequences. Men: 16.1%; Women: 30.2%
  3. Age-Related Changes in Dating Aggression in Spanish High School Students. Men: 38.5%; Women 48.4%

United States — Child Murders: This past week the New York Post reported there have been at least eight mothers who allegedly killed or attempted to kill their children since Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial began in July. (8) Attempting to kill one’s own child can hardly be considered to be an act of rationality.

(The Administration on Children, Youth, and Families notes that 28.5% of child murders are perpetrated by the mother, compared to only 14.7% committed by the father. (9))

Commentator Sydney Watson recently issued this plea for a return to sanity: “We’ve had the Lindsay Clancy divide, the new Sidney Sweeney meltdown, the Cornell 7 situation, and now we have one regarding comments made by comedian Shane Willis…. I really, really need so many women to get a grip.” (10)
