CURRENT PRIORITIES

Domestic violence is a serious problem that knows no boundaries of sex, economic status, or education. The Coalition to End Domestic Violence (CEDV) is a broad-based network of concerned groups and individuals committed to finding substantive solutions to stop domestic violence in the United States and internationally. We work to achieve our vision through four strategies:

  1. Information: The Coalition’s website provides practical information for victims, the falsely accused, and service providers.
  2. Media: The Coalition works to increase public awareness of flawed domestic violence laws and policies, relying on press releases, social media, press conferences, and more.
  3. Coalition-Building: The CEDV is constantly working to expand the number of organizations seeking to reform domestic violence laws and policies. CEDV sponsors two coalitions:
  4. Legislative and Advocacy: The Coalition communicates with federal and state lawmakers to promote evidence-based domestic violence laws. CEDV has sponsored a number of CAMP (“Countering Abuse Misinformation Project”) campaigns:

The Coalition to End Domestic Violence is a project of the Center for Prosecutor Integrity, a non-partisan, 501(c)3 organization.

CORE VALUES

Our Coalition consists of dozens of organizations, liberal and conservative, working to reform domestic violence laws and policies. Our work is grounded in three Core Values:

  1. Inclusiveness: All victims deserve to be heard and to be helped.
  2. Fairness: All parties are entitled to fairness and due process.
  3. Science: Domestic violence programs should be based on reliable data, evidence, and science.
